Dr. Rashid Majid Shahrabani

MBChB, MRCP (UK), FRCP (UK)

Senior Consultant Cardiologist

Dr. Shahrabani graduated in Baghdad following which he obtained his membership from the Royal College of Physicians, UK in 1979.  He was also awarded FRCP in 1996.

Dr. Shahrabani’s career began in 1971 in Iraq and thereafter since 1976 had several postings in various teaching and super specialty hospitals in the UK.  His last appointment was as Research and Clinical Fellow in Cardiology at St. Mary’s Teaching Hospital, London, UK.

In 1988, Dr. Shahrabani joined Royal Hospital and has been the pioneer in starting Interventional Cardiology in Oman.  He was also responsible for pacemaker implantations in Oman and overseeing the coronary care unit in Royal Hospital.  He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Sultan Qaboos Medical School, Oman.

Dr. Shahrabani has several Research Publications to his credit and has been a member of many Cardiological associations.

Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al-Mukhaini

Senior Consultant Cardiologist

Dr. Mukhaini has extensive experience in
Cardiology. He is a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at Royal Hospital; Director of Echo and Non-Invasive Lab, Royal Hospital; Director of Cardiology Clinic, Royal Hospital; Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Medicine, Sultan Qaboos University.

Dr. Mukhaini is actively involved in a variety of academic activities at different levels including departmental activities, symposiums and local conferences.  He is also a member of Oman Medical Specialties Board which runs the postgraduate training program in Oman.
Dr. Mukhaini has a specialist interest in Acute Coronary Syndromes and Valvular Heart Diseases
