Senior Consultant, Paediatric Surgery
After graduating in 1980 in Medicine with distinction from Mosul University in Iraq, Dr. Mohamed Jaffar Al Sajwani returned to Oman for three years in Muscat at the Al Nahda and Khoula Hospitals before moving to the UK for 5 years to specialize in Paediatric surgery at hospitals in Scotland and England including the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow and Birmingham Children’s Hospital. He returned to Oman in 1988 when he joined the Royal Hospital in Muscat where he has been since that date, becoming a Senior Consultant in 1992 and is now Head of the Department of Paediatric Surgery, a position he attained in 2002. Dr. Mohamed has published widely in his field of Paediatric Surgery and has attended and presented papers at a range of international conferences.
