Biography:
Dr. Mohammed Al-Mukhaini is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Oman International Hospital. He holds a MD, FRCP (Canada), ABIM, ABIM (CV) and is also the Programme Director for Adult Cardiology Fellowship at Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB).
Dr. Al-Mukhaini is an expert in performing complex coronary interventions and structural valvular interventions. He has experience in performing more than 15,000 diagnostic coronary angiograms and over 5000 primary and complex percutaneous coronary intervention including TAVI, balloon valvuloplasty, ACS intervention, PAMI, PCI in cardiogenic shock, CTO, bifurcation lesions, left main, graft intervention and CHIP.
He has also published 25 articles in national and international indexed journals and has presented 50 papers in national and international conferences. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Al-Mukhaini is an active teacher and mentor to medical students and junior doctors. He was the former Director of Adult Cardiology Fellowship at the Royal Hospital in Muscat, Oman.
He is also a founding member of the Gulf Intervention Society, and is a well-recognized figure in the field of Interventional Cardiology.
