Biography
Graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College Pune, India in 1980 and subsequently served in the Indian Army for 5 years.
Employed at the Royal Hospital Oman from Feb 1993 to July 2022
Completed her membership exam from the UK in 2001 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in 2014
She was Senior Consultant and Head of the Maternal Medicine and High-Risk pregnancy unit at the Royal Hospital and was looking after all high-risk mothers and those with medical problems with a special interest in Hematological disorders in pregnancy.
Was in charge of the Gynecology unit, specializing in a wide range of general Gynecological and pelvic conditions like uterine fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts.
Has a fellowship in Cosmetic Gynecology from the American Board of Aesthetic Gynecology.
Besides clinical work has been an active member of the audit committee and involved in preparing and updating local and national guidelines, protocols, and policies.
Was actively involved in teaching and research and has presented several papers in National and International conferences.

- High Risk pregnancies including Placenta Previa, pregnancy with uterine fibroids, recurrent pregnancy loss.
- Surgery for previous multiple Cesareans.
- Pregnancy with medical disorders like Hypertension, Thyroid, Cardiac, Renal diseases, and Blood disorders
- Major Gynecological surgeries, Hysterectomy, Myomectomy, Laparoscopic surgeries, and vaginal procedures
- Surgical and non-surgical Aesthetic Gynecology procedures, including Perineoplasty, labioplasty, Gynecology fillers and laser treatment.

- Received recognition award, for improving the quality of services at the Royal hospital and through the Maternity dashboard, May 2018
- Appreciation award from His excellency the Minister of Health for recognition of services, Hospital Recognition Day 2016
- Appreciation from the Sultan Qaboos University College, June 2011 in recognition of significant contribution to medical education, training of the undergraduates.
