Biography:
Dr Bashir Ahmad Bhat graduated from Medical College Srinagar in India and had his Post-graduate qualification in Pediatrics in 1989 from University of Kashmir and Fellowship of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (F.R.C.P.C.H) in London. He had his Neonatal Medicine training from University of Sydney in Australia in 1996. He joined the Ministry of Health in Oman in 1998 and worked as Senior Consultant in the Ministry of Health at Khoula Hospital and Royal Hospital till April 2016 with an experience of more than 25 years in the field of Pediatrics and Newborn Medicine. He has successfully managed a vast number of difficult clinical problems encountered in children at the tertiary hospitals where he worked including Siamese twins and very rare diagnostic entities. He is an expert in ventilation strategies in babies and has successfully managed children with life threatening illnesses needing intensive care.
