Biography:
Dr. Jamil Hyder Completed his undergraduate medical education from Dow medical college Karachi. He started training in Otolaryngology in the UK in 1983 and acquired Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow and the Royal College of Surgeons England. He Joined The Aga Khan University where he completed further training and later joined the university as full-time faculty. He moved to Oman in 1997 and since then, has been working at Al Nahda Hospital tertiary care ENT and Head and Neck surgery department as a senior consultant. He has been associated with Muscat Private Hospital as an independent consultant since 2003.
Dr. Jamil Hyder was trained in the United Kingdom and acquired his specialization as an Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgeon in 1987. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and Diplomat of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He holds specialist registration in Otolaryngology with the General Medical Council of the UK. Dr. Jamil has been working as a highly reputable Senior Consultant in Otolaryngology with the Ministry of Health, Oman since 1997. He has participated in the training of residents under the Oman Medical Specialty Board and is an honorary Senior lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University Medical School. He manages all cases of ENT surgery and apart from routine ENT surgical procedures, has a special interest and extensive experience of endoscopic sinus surgery and minimally invasive endoscopic ear surgery.
Dr. Jamil is also accomplished in treating head and neck diseases including neck lumps and benign and malignant diseases of head and neck at the tertiary care level. He has many publications to his credit.
