Biography
“She has been working in the private sector in Oman as a Specialist – Internal Medicine for more than 23 years, since 1996. The first twelve years,she was working with Al Shatti Hospital, the first private hospital in Oman. Since 2008 she is working with Muscat Private Hospital.
Before coming to Oman, back in India she worked as Deputy Chief Medical officer (Consultant Internal Medicine) for over 12 years since 1982 with BHEL’s Kasturba Hospital. It is a well-equipped, modern, 415 bedded, one of the best hospitals in central India. She was part of a specialist-team managing 90 beds medical wards,14 beds in Intensive Care Unit, Medical OPD, Cardiac OPD & Diabetic Clinics, etc.
Following her graduation as MBBS, primary medical degree in 1978 she did her masters in Internal Medicine (MD-Medicine) in 1982 after rigorous specialized training.
Thus, gathering about 40 years of varied, extensive & specialized work experience & skills in Internal Medicine & it’s various sub-specialties to mention a few; Endocrinology- including diabetes & thyroid issues. Clinical cardiology with hands-on experience of ECHO & treadmill-test. Pulmonology or chest diseases- bronchitis, COPD, pneumonia & asthma included. Gastro or various abdominal diseases. Neurology with a spectrum of cases. Variety of infections, medical emergencies, intensive care of medical conditions & all sorts of non-surgical adult medical conditions.”
