Biography:
Dr. Salim AlBusaidy graduated at Liverpool University and worked for the National Health Service, UK for 10 years in Liverpool and Glasgow teaching hospitals.
He obtained his FRCS in Edinburgh and later returned to Oman to work as a senior consultant at the Armed Forces Hospital. After a few years he was appointed the Head of the Military Medical Services.
In 2006 he moved to the Royal Hospital as a senior consultant. After a short period, he was appointed the Head of the Royal Hospital Urology Department.
He has a wide experience in the treatment of urological diseases affecting the kidneys, bladder, prostate and testes. He has published a book and over 20 articles mainly in International journals. He is an Examiner for the Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons.
In 1995 he was awarded the Medal of Excellence by H.M. Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
