Dr. Maysoun Izzeldin Ahmed Elnigoumi

Specialist - Obstetrics & Gynecology

Biography:

Dr. Maysoun Izzeldin Ahmed Elnigoumi is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Muscat Private Hospital, caring for women through pregnancy, childbirth and every stage of gynaecological health. She trained at the University of Khartoum and in the teaching hospitals of Khartoum and Omdurman, and has practised as a specialist in Oman since 2013. Dr. Maysoun follows women from their first antenatal visit through to delivery, and manages both planned and emergency births, including caesarean section, assisted delivery, twin delivery and vaginal breech delivery. Her gynaecological surgery includes abdominal and vaginal operations for fibroids, ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy and pelvic organ prolapse. She holds a Fellowship and Diploma in Minimal Access Surgery from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. She also performs her own obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound, and offers family planning counselling and contraceptive care, including IUD insertion.
