He currently serves as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon and Pediatric Urologist at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH), Muscat, Oman, where he provides specialized surgical and urological care for infants, children, and adolescents.
Dr. Al-Shaqsi earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman, before pursuing advanced postgraduate surgical training in France. He obtained the French Board in General Surgery (DES) from Sorbonne University and subsequently completed specialized training in Pediatric Surgery (DESC) at Sorbonne University, Paris.
