About Dr. Ahmad
Dr. Ahmad is a Senior Specialist in General Paediatrics and Neonatology and Head of the Paediatrics Department at Muscat Private Hospital, with 20 years of experience caring for children from the first minutes of life through adolescence. Alongside his general paediatric practice he has developed particular expertise in infection control and clinical nutrition.
He earned his Master’s degree in Paediatrics and Neonatology from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, in 2013. He also holds a Diploma in Infection Control from the International Federation of Infection Control (2009) and a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition from the European Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (2013).
Dr. Ahmad manages the full range of common and complex childhood illness — respiratory, gastrointestinal and urinary tract conditions, allergy and atopy, haematological disorders and neurological illness. In neonatal care he is involved from delivery-room resuscitation through NICU admission where required, and on to feeding support and catch-up growth. He also provides routine immunisation across all paediatric age groups, and nutritional assessment with structured follow-up for malnutrition and failure to thrive.
