Dr. Alaa Mohammad Ahmad

Dr. Alaa is a Specialist Urologist with 14 years of experience in urology and andrology, specializing in kidney and genitourinary tract surgery, including kidney transplantation surgery. He has practiced at Muscat Private Hospital since 2021.

Dr. Alaa completed his MBBS in Syria in 2007, followed by a Master's degree in Uro-Kidney Surgery through the Syrian Ministry of Health in 2012, and the Syrian Board in Kidney Transplantation in 2015. He subsequently obtained a Specialist License in Urology from the Oman Ministry of Health in 2017, and a further Specialist License in Urology from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in 2019.

He began his career as a Urologist at the Surgical Kidney Hospital in Damascus, Syria (2012–2016), while also practicing as a Urologist and Andrologist at the New Al-Arabi Hospital in Damascus during the same period. He then practiced as a Urologist and Andrologist at Al Reem Medical Center in Muscat, Oman, from 2017 to 2020, before joining Muscat Private Hospital in 2021, where he continues to practice today.

His clinical practice covers the full range of urogenital tract surgery, including renal stone treatment, male infertility and sexual disorder treatment, prostate disease management, bladder disorders, and urgent urogenital case management. He performs endoscopic laser lithotripsy (ureteroscopy and RIRS), TURP and Rezum for prostate conditions, TURBT for bladder tumors, varicocelectomy, hydrocelectomy, vasectomy, micro-TESE, and a range of endoscopic urogenital procedures including cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, and urethroscopy with internal urethrotomy.

Dr. Alaa is a member of the Syrian Urology Society, the Syrian Transplantation Society, the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and the Arab Urology Society. He believes that patients' health is the top priority in every consultation.
