Dr. Nedhal Tariq Al-Shukri

Dr. Nedhal is a Specialist in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care with more than 35 years of clinical experience. She is highly experienced in General anaesthesia, Regional anaesthesia (Spinal, Epidural, and Peripheral nerve blocks), and Monitored anaesthesia care. Pre-operative risk optimization and acute post-operative pain management. Highly expert in difficult airway management. Proficient in providing anaesthesia for different surgical specialities, including general and laparoscopic Bariatric surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Epidural analgesia for labour pain, Paediatric surgery, Geriatric surgery, ENT, and faciomaxillary, Ophthalmic surgery, Urosurgery, plastic surgery, Thoracic surgery, Casuality and emergencies, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, and Radiology department (paediatric CT scan and MRI). Managing and stabilizing critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

She earned her MBChB from the College of Medicine and Surgery, University of Baghdad, and went on to complete a Diploma in Anaesthesia at the University of Baghdad, where she ranked first among fourteen candidates. She also holds Part 1 of the Fellowship of the Faculty of Anaesthesia of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (P1 FFA), and is a member of the Oman Society of Anaesthesia and Critical Care and the Iraqi Medical Association.

She works calmly under pressure, and makes quick decisions.
