Dr. Tawfiq is one of the Omani pioneers in the field of paediatrics and the first Paediatric Gastroenterologist in Oman. Widely recognized as one of the leading Paediatric Gastroenterologists in Muscat, Oman, he worked across all disciplines of paediatrics during his training in Oman before completing his fellowship in Paediatric Gastroenterology in Brisbane, Australia. Upon returning to Oman, Dr. Tawfiq established specialized Paediatric Gastroenterology services in Muscat, significantly advancing digestive and liver care for children across the country.

Dr. Tawfiq completed his foundational training in General Paediatrics and has continued caring for infants, children, and adolescents throughout his career. He specialized in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Paediatric Hepatology, and Paediatric Nutrition, gaining extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive, nutritional, and liver disorders in children.
